Business Cards | 400gsm Thermography raised ink
Prices from £119.00 ex VAT
Thermographic printing raises the image or type. We do this by sprinkling a powdered resin onto wet ink, then heat-fusing it to the board. When cooled, you're left with a glossy raised finish where ever the ink is. Very classic traditional printing.

• Minimum point size we can thermograph print is 6pt (7pt really for a fine serif font). Please do not set your text smaller than 6pt as it may fill in. Thermographic print (raised ink / raised printing) will not show very fine details of typography serifs or logotypes.
• We can only print raised Thermographic ink printing on ONE SIDE of business cards due to the heat-fusing process involved.
• Note: only light ink coverage - no big solid areas. Text with big point sizes, or large areas of raised ink can get an "Orange Peel" look effect.
• Please be understanding that the Thermography printing process is not an exact science - it is a very old fashioned, and fairly manual printing process involving heat and melting glass resin powder onto the printed card. It is normal for there to be small imperfections in the finish; it is rarely a perfectly smooth finish, especially on larger, more solid print areas. Sometimes you will get slightly more of a raised image than others - sometimes a more glossy finish; sometimes a more matt finish - and sometimes less of the glass resin powder used in the Thermography process will adhere to the wet, tacky ink. We do everything we can to get the best possible finish for you, but you need to accept that there are some limitations in the process.

Reviews
Business cards and letter headed
Jeremy at Bluechip was very patient and extremely helpful. We had several samples of paper sent before deciding. His advice was spot on. Simon, who provided the proofs, offered some advice on the envelopes, which again he was spot on with his suggestion. All in all one worries about what it will all look like. We received the stationery Friday and we were so impressed. Everything was in perfect order. The print was precise. The colour perfect and elegant. We would use Bluechip again without a doubt. Thanks again for all your patience over the past few months. Becky
Raised Business Cards
I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the team. They went that extra step to tweak details and designs using sub-optimal imagery. Very pleased with the outcome and also decided to have envelopes and headed paper made up also. Again very pleased with all. Competitive pricing, not cheap, but not absurdly expensive. All in all would be happy to recommend. Thanks
